We have done a tremendous amount of research. It has been alot of work but nothing I have ever done has been this enjoyable. Chihuahua's are such loving animals. They are extremely devoted. They make wonderful pets for anyone. I highly recommend them. How can you NOT love a Chihuahua? Just look at that face. They are sooo cute!!!
But remember there is responsibilty in raising any pet. Your puppy/dog depends on you for everything: food, water, exercise, training, good health (they need a vets attention regularally) and hygiene and above all, lots of love and attention.
All dogs are different, like people all dogs have different medical concerns and different personalitys. They all live in different environments, different family situations. Try and keep this in mind while picking out the one you want and raising your pet. Some dogs are not meant to be apartment dwellings and some are not to be left outside at all times. There is a lot to consider.
I recommend doing research on the breed your are interested in. Make sure you are getting the right one for you. There have been studies done that proves dog owners live longer than people who dont have a pet. Dogs provide laughter, love, companionship and respect unconditionallly. They are devoted to thier owners for life. All they want is food, water and lots of love in return.

A little background on our hobby we call Kre's Kennel. My wife and I were raised in an environment with dogs as pets. My upbringing was primarily around Beagles, Pit Bulls and Coon Hounds, my wife's past included just one family pet (Pretty Girl) whom was a faithful companion to her family just shy of 20 years and she happened to be a chihuahua. From my wifes experience in the majestic breed of chihuahua, became a need for us to pass on the fortune her family had with this one truly wonderful family member. We have spent countless number of hours acquiring the pets we have to promote all of the qualities Pretty Girl displayed through out her life. Our loved ones have a good demeanor, losing the little yappities chi's are noted for. We raise just a few Chi's because we want each and every puppy have the personal human touch that is needed to fulfill an obligation to the breed. We have acquired six females that carry the traits suitable for lap dogs and a male that is not timid but is not aggressive. All of our Chi's sleep in the same bed as my wife and I. Any questions concerning anything about Chi's we will try and answer, does not matter if they have any blood connection to ours, We see them all as spokesdogs of the breed.
